HEIRLOOM FOOD FROM AN HEIRLOOM FARM

Sweet Valley Farm is where passion meets heritage, a third-generation market garden tucked into the fertile Arkansas River valley, 40 miles east of Pueblo, Colorado.

My grandparents fell in love with this land in the early 1950s, and my father kept that love alive when my grandfather's farming days came to a close. Today, I live in the original homestead that sits nestled on the sprawling Mills family farm, where hay and corn are still grown. I'm sweetly rooted where it all began, and surrounded by everything it's become.

WHY HEIRLOOM?

These aren't your grocery store vegetables bred for cross-country shipping. These are the real deal, intensely flavorful varieties I grow from seeds I save myself, season after season.

I have a standing challenge: I've never met anyone who's tried one of my heirloom tomatoes and didn't immediately become a convert. My market regulars know exactly what I'm talking about.

Find me at the Pueblo Farmers Market, or come visit the farm.

(by appointment only)

Once you taste the difference, you'll understand why everyone finds it so sweet!

SWEET LAND THAT I LOVE

I farm organically, by practice and not by certification, but mainly because it's the right way to grow food, and it's best for this land that I love. Guests are welcome to visit because I have nothing to hide and everything to share. My small scale operation is intentional: I would rather grow exceptional produce for the people who truly appreciate it than chase volume. I listen to what my market customers crave, and grow what thrives the soil I know so well.
